Henry Levesque de Puyberneau had the new neo-classical Château de Buchignon built in 1839 as a wedding present for his young wife, Louise-Delphine de Lespinay.
Their daughter Henriette Potiron de Boisfleury inherited the property and sold it to her cousin Zénobe-Alexis de Lespinay, Member of Parliament for the Vendée and great-grandfather of Isabelle, the current owner.
In order to supply the castle with running water, a water tower was built in the early 20th century in an old-fashioned style, known as a "folly".
The charm and originality of this tower led us to choose it as our logo.
"For 3 generations, the estate has been part of our family history, and we are committed to maintaining it and, above all, bringing it to life by welcoming family, friends and now our guests.
That's why Geoffroy and I have just completed our first restoration campaign, enabling us to offer you a range of holidays that combine tradition and modern comfort.
